New Year's Resolution Tips

It's that time of year again when everyone makes their goals and resolutions for the years. I love being able to sit down and set goals that will drive my business and even my personal life for the year. It can be hard when set too strict or too many resolutions because as most of you know, we tend to stick to them for a few weeks and then fall off. Here are a few tips to get you to stick to your resolutions this year.

Start Small

One of my biggest tips when it comes to creating resolutions is staying small. It's easy to get caught up in the moment and decide your going to change the world or lose a certain amount of weight. Try creating smaller goals that you know you can accomplish! Being able to set smaller goals more often will help you keep up the momentum when you keep checking off those resolutions.

Do You

It's so easy to get caught up in what other people are wanting to do for their own life. Whether it is losing weight or traveling more, really think about what YOU want! Don't pick  resolutions just because everyone else is choosing them too. Take some time to really think about your goals for the year and what would truly make you happy.

 β€‹Review and Change

You may find yourself not accomplishing your resolution a few months in. Maybe you set the bar too high, maybe the goal isn't something that you really wanted. It's totally okay to review and change throughout the year. Tweak the goal to fit you where you are and what you want to do in life. If you have to change them a little bit, don't stress! It doesn't mean that you failed - you are just editing it a little bit!

Resolutions are not as scary as you may think. You can make them for every part of your life, whether that is work, your relationships, your health, etc. Use them to motivate you to reach those goals you've been wanting to accomplish!
