Questions To Ask Your Boudoir Photographer
Booking a boudoir session can be a bit intimidating. It is such an intimate session and if it’s your first boudoir shoot, you probably have all kinds of questions running through your head! You want to make sure that you are asking your photographer all the right questions. Most photographers will set up a time to chat before you walk into their studio but be sure you are talking out all your nerves. Here are a few questions you should ask before your session.
The Process
Don’t be afraid to ask your photographer about their process. Booking a boudoir session can be a bit nerve-racking so if you have questions about their services or their process of their sessions, ask! They will be happy to answer any and all questions that you may have. From their turnaround times to their contract, don’t be afraid to ask questions! They want you to be as comfortable as possible throughout the whole process.
What To Wear
The best thing about boudoir is that you can customize what you wear to your style and theme of your session. Be sure to have a chat with your photographer about what they recommend when it comes to lingerie. If you are stuck on what to wear, your photographer will have loads of recommendations for you! Different types of clothing photograph differently in front of the camera and they will be able to recommend different pieces that fit the theme and style you are going for.
Hair and Makeup
It’s important to get your hair and makeup look nailed down before you show up for your session. Be sure to find out if your photographer offers this service or if you will be required to show up with your hair and makeup already done. If they do not offer these services, find out if they partner with anyone in the area. If you have any questions about different looks, don’t be afraid to ask! Your photographer will know of some easy looks that look beautiful in front of the camera and will be able to give you some recommendations if you need them.
Products
If you are stuck on what products to order, talk to your photographer! Give them your budget you want to stay in and the types of products that you think you like. They will be able to give you suggestions and potentially a few different options. If you are stuck on a specific image, don’t be afraid to ask them for their opinion!
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Your photographer wants you to feel as comfortable and confident throughout the whole process and will be happy to answer any and all questions before your session!
