Having time just for you is so important. Our calendars seem to be booked solid these days and we are all trying to do all the things all the time. Having time alone just for you will not only give you some time to relax but also time to just think! With social media, it's easy to get caught up in comparison and trying to live that perfect Instagram life - which is not easy nor realistic. Schedule some time in your week for you to watch your favorite tv show and just relax. Put the phone down and just relax! We are constantly comparing ourselves to others and we really need to just take some time to chill and debrief from all of the things we are seeing. Whether you want to watch your favorite show or take a yoga class, find something that resets your brain for a little bit. If you find that you can't make it work, schedule those appointments right into your calendar to ensure that you make it there. Stay true to those appointments. You would never blow off a work meeting so be sure to show up for the meeting for yourself.

Stay Present

When going out with friends, try to stay present and in the moment! I hate when I go out and see tables full of friends all scrolling through their phones. I encourage you to challenge yourself to stay present with everyone you spend time with. Logging off of your phone for a little bit will help you enjoy your time outside of work and scrolling more. It allows you to enjoy your time with friends and really spend quality time with the people that you love!
