Finding the Right Photographer For Your Boudoir Session

Finding a photographer for an intimate photoshoot can be such an overwhelming task. There are countless photographers out there and how can you possibly find the right one for you? I want to share a few tips to help you find the perfect person to capture your boudoir session. 

Does Experience Matter?

There are so many amazing photographers out there! Some are just starting out and some have been in the field for years. Think about what you want out of your session. Do you want to work with someone that has been in the field for years or is this something that you are flexible with? There are pros and cons to both! It is all up to you and your preference. 

Check Out Their Portfolio!

Think about the style you are thinking about for your session. What kind of photos are you drawn to? Do you love light and airy or more moody and dark? When looking at different photographers, look at their portfolios and their social media platforms. This will give you a good idea of what their shooting style is like and even their editing style. Can you see yourself in those images? 

Get In Touch!

Once you find a photographer you think you want to work with, get in touch with them! Most photographers are happy to chat with you before booking a session. This is the perfect opportunity for you to ask questions. Think of questions ahead of time so that you will leave the chat knowing everything.  No question is too silly so don't be afraid to ask away. I promise, they have probably been asked those questions a million times before. Chatting with them will give you a chance to get a feel for their personality and if they are the right photographer for you.
