3 Of My Favorite Skincare Tips For Fall
When summer starts to wind down and the cold weather rushes in, if you are like me my skin usually feels that temperature change first. You may think that because you are all cozy in sweaters and boots you can slack a little on your skincare regimen but your skin will thank you if you keep up with it. Here are a few of my favorite tips to keep your skin glowing throughout the colder months.
Oil Based Scrubs
Oil based scrubs are awesome for the fall and winter months. You are getting the benefits from an exfoliant but also reaping the hydrating benefits of the oil. There are so many different options out there to pick from. You can find some that are swimming in oil but then also some are more of a solid consistency. You may have to try a few until you find one that you really love.
Moisturize
Be sure you are moisturizing every single day. It helps keep your dry skin at bay and will keep your hydration of your skin pretty consistent. After you wash your face, let your face dry completely before moisturizing.
Don't forget about your hands! Your hands also face those cold harsh temperatures so it's important to moisturize your hands daily as well. Keeping up with your water intake will also help keep your skin healthy and moisturized for that natural glow.
Sunscreen
You may think that since it is cooler now, you don't need sunscreen anymore and I promise that is not the truth. Your body may be covered in lots of layers but your face is still out in the sun so it's important to use at least an SPF minimum of 15. Reapply throughout the day as needed.
These are just a few simple tips that I try to stay consistent with as summer transitions into fall and fall transitions into winter. It can get cold here in Boston and my skin usually feels the effects of the cold temperatures. Trust me, your skin will thank you!
