Tips For Planning A Holiday Boudoir Session

It may be officially July but I have Christmas on the brain here at Ma Cherie Studios. It may seem too early but if you are planning on doing a shoot for your special someone for the holidays, you can definitely start planning it now!

Here are a few simple tips to help you plan out your Christmas session.

Pick A Theme

Think about your style and what you want the end product to look like. Do you want it to have a more playful feel? Do you want it to be Christmas themed? Deciding on the theme will help you plan out different outfits and props. It also helps me plan out the different poses that will look amazing in the final products. You don't have to do a full holiday look either. You can always add in a holiday feel to a few different poses with different lingerie looks and accessories.

Decide If It's A Gift

One of my biggest tips is to decide on if you want it to be a Christmas gift or not. I suggest thinking about this because it will help you with your timeline. The earlier you do it the more time you have to decide on what products you want. It will also help you if you decide on doing a payment plan on your products. Planning the session ahead of time will help you ensure that your special someone will get their gift in time to be under the tree.

Lingerie and Accessories

Picking out the lingerie and accessories is the fun part! There are so many different options and you can change up a look so easily. You can take the same bra and panty set and make it look more cozy with a cardigan or turn up the sex appeal with a leather jacket. Depending on the theme and feel of your session that you are looking for, the options are truly endless. If you want a holiday feel, think about adding in a flannel button up or a holiday colored sweater. You can add in candles and blankets to give it that cozy winter feel. No one will ever know that you actually did your session during the summer!

These are just a few things to think about when you are planning out your holiday session. Remember, this is a fun process so don't let the planning part of it stress you out. I know there are so many options out there but if you ever get stuck, I am just an email away :)
