Closet Clean Out Tips
Every January, I love to completely purge my closet. I like to hold on to a lot of clothes during the year that I just don't ever wear. I always hold on to them for that maybe moment, when you might wear it again but you are not sure. I always do it in January because there is no better feeling than starting the year off on the right foot. If you are looking to clean out your closet yourself, here a few tips that I swear by!
Empty Out Your Closet
This is time consuming, so make sure to schedule enough time for this! Completely empty out your closet. Take every last piece of clothing out. This forces you to go through each and every item. Go through each piece of clothing and try it on. Trying it on let's you see how it fits and see if there are any stains or holes on the item.
Question It
When going through each piece, don't forget to ask yourself a few questions. When is the last time you wore it? Is this still your style? Do you love this item? Is this just a seasonal item? ake a few piles of items you love, items that you want to keep just in case, and items to donate or sell.
See What's Left
Assess what's left in your closet. Is there anything that's missing? Think about your the style you want to have before running out on your next shopping spree. Find pieces that will last you season after season and can used in different styles.
Happy cleaning! :)
