How to Choose a Boudoir Photographer

Boudoir is an intimate experience so choosing the right photographer can be an overwhelming task. You don't want to choose just anyone but the process of finding the perfect one for you could make you not even want to do the session. There are so many things you should think about and consider when picking a photographer.

Think about what you want to get out of the session. Think about the style that you want. Do you want a photographer that strictly shoots boudoir or one that does it from time to time? Think about the budget that you want to stick with and the kinds of photos you really like. The first step is to think about all of these things and figure out what you want. 

It's important to look at the photographer's portfolio. Look at the poses, the lighting, and what the women are wearing. Looking through their portfolio will show you their shooting and editing style. 

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Ask them what their process is like, their price packages, how they got started, etc. Don't be afraid to ask! The photographer is more than happy to answer all of your questions so that you feel comfortable the day of the shoot. At the end of the day, it is your session so it is important that you love the final images.  

Go with your gut. After looking at multiple photographers and their work, go with the one that feels right to you and that fits with your budget. And make sure you are going with the one that matches the style you are looking for!
