Lingerie 101: Teddies

Teddies might look a little unflattering on a hanger but that could not be further from the truth! I actually recommend these to each of my clients, regardless of body size or shape.  They are absolutely one of the best pieces of lingerie for a boudoir shoot, and you can even incorporate them into your everyday wardrobe by pairing with your favorite jeans or skirt!

There are so many different styles out there, and all teddies are cut a bit differently. Therefore to do not be afraid to try them on and play around. Don't be discouraged if one does not look quite right, the perfect one is just around the corner!

One great tip to accentuating your features, is making sure the teddy either has a line or seam across the waist (or even a design, such as lace, creating a line to the waist). This small little detail will accentuate and slim your waist as well as elongate your body.  If you are on the shorter side, you also want to make sure to go with a teddy that is cut fairly high on the hips, which will make your legs look super long.
