How To Find The Right Bra Size

If you feel like you are constantly wearing the wrong bra size, you are not alone! So many women walk around every day fidgeting with their bra because it just isn't the right size and style for them. Here are a few tips to finding the correct size for you.

Make sure you're having a bra fitting! Most lingerie stores will be happy to measure you to make sure you get the right size, but you can also do this at home.

If you are measuring at home, start with measure for your band size. Keep the measuring tape parallel and measure right under your bust after your breathe out. You want to make sure you expel all air from your lungs so that this measurement is as small as possible.  With your arms at your side, measure at the fullest part of your bust. Subtract your band measurement from your cup measurement. Usually for each in difference, the cup goes up by one size.

For example, 38” (over measurement)– 36” (under measurement) = 2” or Cup “B” The size would be 36B.

Be sure to get measured at your local lingerie store as well, just to make sure your sizing is correct!

When you have your measurements, be sure to try on different styles and sizes. Some bras will fit better than others and you just have to find the style that fits your body best. Make sure your straps are snug on your shoulders but loose enough to slide to fingers underneath. The cups should fit smoothly against you - no gaps and wrinkles and of course, no spilling over the tops.  The center-piece of your bra should also lay flat against you without buckling.  When you are trying them on, be sure to throw your top on as well. Make sure you love the looks of it with clothing on.

Bra shopping can be overwhelming at times, but once you know the right size, you will have such an easier time finding the right bra that fits you comfortably. Happy shopping!
