Winter Date Night Ideas
If you are anything like me, you probably just want to snuggle up on the couch and watch a Christmas movie. Sometimes, that sounds like the perfect night in but every now and then it's night to have a special date night. Here are a few ideas to get you on of your cold weather slump and out on the perfect date.
Day Trip to a Local Mountain
Getting out on the slopes for the day makes for the perfect way to enjoy the cold weather and the snow. If you ski or snowboard, check out your local mountains and have a day date with your partner. Not to worry, even if you don't ski or snowboard there are still things to do to keep you busy! You can take a lesson together or some mountains even offer snow tubing at night, hang out at the lodge in front of the fire or you can even just walk through the trails. Whatever you decide to do, be sure to enjoy some time outside together in the winter wonderland!
Gingerbread House
With the holidays right around the corner, it's the perfect way to get into the spirit! You can either buy the premade houses or even make everything from scratch. From picking out the ingredients to the actual creating, you'll be able to do it together from start to finish. You can even set a bet and turn it into a gingerbread house contest and whoever finishes fastest (or is the most creative, you decide!) is the winner! Light a fire, make some hot chocolate and start getting creative!
Popcorn and a movie
Look up different popcorn recipes and make a few to enjoy for your movie night. Get creative with your ingredients and see which one ends up being your favorite. The options are endless. From chocolate covered to even peanut butter popcorn, you will definitely find one that you love.. and maybe hate! It gets you both in the kitchen before you snuggle up on the couch for your movie night with the perfect snack.
Go Sledding
It's time to feel like a kid again! Find the best place to go sledding in your area and make a night of it. Pack up some hot chocolate, snacks, and spend the night outside under the stars.
